About Us

OUR MISSION:

To explore all the flora and fauna San Diego has to offer! We seek to teach students and the broader community how to find or be more aware of resources about native plants and animals. In collaboration with the SDSU Biodiversity Museum, we will spread awareness of and support biodiversity in San Diego county and beyond. We will connect undergraduate students at San Diego State University with career information and opportunities in fields related to organismal, evolutionary, genetic, and horticultural biology, veterinary sciences, ecology and environmental sciences, paleontology, natural history, and other biological fields.

Our Club

Welcome to our club! Here at the Biodiversity club, we are dedicated to exploring the local, natural world around us and all it has to offer, and just having fun! We do this via biweekly meetings, guest speakers, hikes, camping, and birding expeditions.

No experience? No problem! We welcome everyone with open arms, even non-biology majors! All we require is your curiosity and enthusiasm!

Membership

Anyone is welcome to join the club, whether they are non-biology majors, graduates, or even non-SDSU students! We love to share in the enthusiasm for the flora and fauna around us.

Membership in "good standing" is defined as attending five or more events per semester.
